- Caskets may be purchased for as little as $75 for a biodegradable cardoard casket. You may also use a home-made or artisan-crafted casket.
- Concrete vaults are used to keep the landscaping in the cemetery level; use of them are not state law. Of course it may be a requirement of the cemetery.
- You may be able to be buried on your property; it is up to the particular zoning of your state/county/city.
- An Ohio death record may be established without assistance from a funeral home or funeral director.
